SELF-PERFORM WORK

Expert, reliable, and trusted builder.

Our approach to self-performing work is at the core of our nature and growth. We are not brokers; we are builders. By focusing on creating and utilizing scope-specific self-performers and a large-scale workforce, we ensure consistent service delivery to all our clients, regardless of their location.

TO YOU, WHAT DOES THIS IMPLY?

As a self-performing general contractor, we have greater control over your project’s entire life cycle, from preconstruction to closeout. Simply put, self-performing components of the project, particularly critical path scopes, result in more predictability in the field. Our scopes of work include but are not limited to, demolition, concrete, interiors (including drywall, doors, frames, and hardware), fireproofing and waterproofing, and other specialties. WHT’s self-performed revenue ranks among the larger specialty contractors in the markets in which we operate. WHT’s self-perform teams work with our trade partners to offer industry-leading safety, workmanship, and quality to every project.

WHT invests considerably in its hundreds of artisans. Our comprehensive training programs are not confined to the technical skills required to complete the assignment. They also provide soft-skills training in communication, teamwork, and leadership. We want our people to have meaningful and successful careers at WHT, which leads to better projects, better customer service, and more career opportunities for our employees.

A HAVEN WHERE ARTISANS CAN HONE THEIR SKILLS

Recruiting, motivating, training, and promoting the most skilled artisans is our top priority. Owners benefit from consistent access to WHT’s long-term craftspeople, while WHT provides a stable environment for younger trade personnel to advance in their careers. Hard effort pays off, and everyone should have a chance at advancing his or her career here.
