CONVENTIONAL THERMAL PLANTS

Steam power plants have long been the backbone of the global electricity grid. Much of this capacity is either about to expire soon or requires upgrades to extend its useful life. Supercritical steam technology, which is used by newer, bigger coal-fired power plants, can greatly increase plant efficiency. The current fleet of older plants also has a lot of room for performance upgrades.

The team at WHT Energy has been building steam power plants for decades, with a special emphasis on massive lignite-fired units. In addition, WHT Energy’s cutting-edge manufacturing facilities are capable of producing crucial plant components and equipment.

Another facet of WHT Energy’s work in this industry is its participation in long-term projects to develop and upgrade lignite mining infrastructure.
